Andrew Faulkner has held a number of roles in the publishing industry, working as an editor, proofreader, writer and designer of both trade and literary publications. He has experience editing corporate material, whether it’s a small brochure or an industry-wide directory, and has marked, edited and written countless academic essays. He will corral an errant comma like it’s his job — because it is — and will have it on your desk by five.

Andrew graduated summa cum laude with an Honours degree in English and Philosophy from the University of Ottawa and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Guelph. Active in the small press community, he runs The Emergency Response Unit, a Toronto-based chapbook press, with Leigh Nash. He is also the co-founder of Ottawa Arts Review, a literary arts journal. His writing and reviews have appeared in a number of journals, newspapers and online publications.

Gina Fusco is an editor with both in-house and freelance editing experience. Having worked for a legal publisher as associate editor of a national business/legal magazine, her experience includes project management, fact checking, proofreading, substantive editing, indexing, writing and copyediting. On a freelance basis, Gina has extensive experience editing fiction, nonfiction and academic works. She has also written a number of articles for publications in the entertainment, sports, legal and health industries.

Gina graduated from York University with an Honours degree in English, where her primary focus was in professional writing. She is also working towards a certificate in publishing from Ryerson University in an effort to hone her skills and keep up-to-date on the ever-changing trends in the publishing community.

Gina also volunteers some of her time and editorial skills to Scrum magazine, Ontario’s rugby magazine, as associate editor.

Leigh Nash is an editor, proofreader and writer with over ten years of experience in the publishing field, including stints as a technical writer, legal editor and sales representative. She has worked as a communications associate in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, and is currently an editorial assistant with Mansfield Press.
